exonemo, 'A destroyed computer mouse, sliced', 2020, C-print on aluminium dibond
MASAHIRO MAKI GALLERY is pleased to announce the solo exhibition by exonemo, the artist unit consisting of Kensuke Sembo and Yae Akaiwa.
Since the unit’s formation in 1996, exonemo have continued to create works that engage with the relationship between ‘technology’, such as the internet and computers, and ‘analogue’, which constitutes reality. Their point of focus is fresh and full of wit, revealing the fundamental nature of, and our relation to, digital media, with which our daily lives are now inundated.
In this exhibition, new works and a selection of older works that received widespread attention will be exhibited, making full use of the two floors of the gallery. We invite you take this opportunity to visit us and view these works.
